Theme & Storyline
“Billionaire’s Den” drops you into the private lair of a mysterious billionaire filled with secrets, puzzles, and hidden surprises.
Immersion Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
What Worked Well:
- Beautiful, immersive decorations
- A fun board-game element built into the puzzles
- Creative ideas we hadn’t seen in other escape rooms
The theme felt polished and interesting, and the board game component was especially memorable.
Puzzle Quality
Puzzle Difficulty: Hard
This room definitely leans toward experienced escape room players.
Highlights:
- Unique puzzles not seen before
- Lots of math-based challenges (don’t worry just multiplication and division)
- Clever integration of physical and logic puzzles
We appreciated how creative the puzzles were, but be prepared—there a bit of math involved. Thankfully, we were allowed to use our phones for calculations.
Puzzle Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
Team Experience
Best Team Size: 4–6 players
This room really benefits from teamwork because of the difficulty level and math components.
Memorable Moments:
- Figuring out how the board game element worked
- Working through tricky calculations together
However, there were a few small frustrations:
- No instructions were given for how to play the board games.
- The keypad locks appeared as a security system and not noticed as a lock at first.
Because of this, we spent extra time figuring out mechanics instead of solving puzzles.
Game Master & Hints
Hint System: Unlimited clues
The staff was friendly and helpful, and booking the room was very easy. We appreciated how smoothly everything started.
We enjoyed having Abi as our game master.
One challenge:
Frequent time-reminder interruptions made it hard to stay focused on puzzles. The recording had the billionaire talking which was distracting.
A quick intro explaining the different keypad and lock systems would be helpful for new players.
Set Design & Atmosphere
Set Design Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
What We Loved:
- Immersive decorations
- Comfortable waiting area
- Fun, themed props
One Issue:
The room was dimly lit at times during the game, which made it hard to read clues or continue working at times.
